If you own a small to medium-sized boiler, then Afterwood’s dry wood chip is an ideal solution to your biomass fuel needs. The wood chip you buy from is guaranteed to meet the highest UK standards and quality.

We buy round virgin wood directly from over 30 contracted sawmills and wood recyclers around the UK. We store the timber ourselves in our numerous drying depots, where it is seasoned and can go through our rigorous screening process. This ensures you receive not only the correct sized chips for your boiler but also that they are free from any contamination which could harm your boiler.

Afterwood’s Dry Wood Chip is delivered loose to your address either on a tipper lorry or on a ‘walking floor’ articulated lorry, how we deliver it to you, very much depends on where you are, how much you require and if you have a storage facility for the dry wood chips.

Delivery Options

Blown or Tipped

With our fleet of specialised lorries we are able to deliver to you wherever you are in the UK. We operate certain vehicles, which will blow wood chip directly into your boiler, giving the advantage of being able to pump wood chip into even hard to reach spaces. The flexibility of this approach means we can access your boiler or storage facility wherever it is. Our blower trucks typically carry up to 10 tonnes of chip in one journey, with the capacity for multiple trips if you need more. Or if you require a lot more then we also offer delivery via our ‘walking floor’ trailers.

Bulk Loads and ‘Walking Floor' Trailers

The ‘walking floor’ trailer is our largest vehicle on the road and can carry up to 20 tonnes of dry wood chip. We deliver from whichever, depot is nearest to you; reducing the impact on the environment whilst at the same time saving you money on transport and mileage costs. We don’t have restrictions on the amount of Wood Chip we can provide due to our logistical structure, so whatever you need just give us a call on 07814 795878, and we can organise a suitable delivery for you

By buying in bulk, you lower your carbon footprint and reduce costs. The economic benefits mean that this form of delivery is especially popular with large commercial boilers such as those found in agriculture, hospitals, apartment blocks and schools.
